Cybertech Shogi Club Activity Report – The day when Sota Fujii achieved eight crowns!
Yesterday, Shogi player Sota Fujii achieved an unprecedented eight crowns (Ryuo, Meijin, Oji, Eio, Kioh, Osho, Kisei, and Oza). It seems that the trend is for the Prime Minister’s Award to be awarded as well, which is really amazing.
On such a milestone day, Sangenjaya co-sponsored an event with the Cybertech Shogi Club and BeProud, Inc. called “Enjoying Shogi and IT with Professional Shogi Players.” What’s more, the teacher who is teaching me is Mr. Toshio Miyata, who is also the teacher of Takumi Ito, who is currently challenging Sota Fujii’s eight crowns in the Ryuo match, and is also an advisor to our Cybertech Shogi club.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I ended up having to wait, but in the case of dropped frames, the game tends to be resolved quickly, so some people may have been able to guide me on a few games.
Afterwards, the teacher also came and we had a social gathering at a nearby pub. We heard a variety of stories, including why three of his students became professional Shogi players, and why Sota Fujii is so strong. It was especially memorable that this event was held on the day it was decided that the first challenger for Sota Fujii’s title after winning eight titles would be his disciple Takumi Ito. I did.
Regarding this event, it seems that many of you were looking forward to the next one, so we are working hard to plan a second one!
The Cybertech Shogi Club is actively recruiting, and if we increase the number of members, we would like to participate in the “Occupational Group Shogi Tournament” as soon as possible.
This was the activity report of the Cybertech Shogi Club, which reached various milestones.

This is my point of reference. I sacrificed the rook angle to cut in, but I think my attack was a bit weak.
